Update 6/25/2020:
In this time when so much in our world is changing, we regret to share with you that the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance will discontinue STAMP (Students at Museums in Philly), effective June 30, 2020. At that time, the STAMP pass will no longer be accepted for free admission at our partner museums and the STAMP mobile app will no longer function.
It is difficult for us to say farewell to a program that has touched the lives of so many Philadelphia youth. Since 2013, STAMP has connected Philadelphia teenagers to arts and culture by providing free access to more than 25 museums. Earlier this year, the Cultural Alliance began a discovery process to review the future of STAMP. The insights gained from this process, combined with the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 crisis and the closure of all our museum partners, brought the Alliance to the realization that now is time to end STAMP.
While all museums and arts & culture institutions are currently closed in Philadelphia due to the COVID-19 crisis, we wanted to share a list of these institutions that are always and will continue to be free to youth in Philadelphia:
- Bartram’s Garden (the public park and trails are open now)
- Fabric Workshop and Museum
- Institute of Contemporary Art
- Laurel Hill Cemetery (grounds are currently open, museum/shop/office are closed)
- La Salle Art Museum
- Philadelphia Museum of Art (18 and under are free)
Additionally, you can find a list of virtual arts programming (many of which are free!) by visiting phillyfunguide.com/to-go.
Moving forward, the Cultural Alliance will continue to look for new ways to engage youth in arts and culture and we encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
Thank you for being a part of the STAMP program,
The STAMP Team
