Stop Procrastinating

Finish strong and do not slack off your last semester of Junior year. This time matters, especially to colleges who want to see that you are improving over the years.

Build Connections

Maintain close relationships with teachers and possible people that will write you a recommendation. Because we all know the saying, “It’s not what you know, but who you know.”

Prepare for College Applications

Take standardized tests, work on art portfolios, and start preparing audition pieces. Make sure you plan things out and give yourself extra time in case you encounter setbacks

Find a Meaningful Summer Activity

This can be volunteering, doing an internship, or working a job. This is really your last summer of high school. You want to make sure that you are out in the world discovering yourself and what you may possibly want to do for the rest of your life.

Use your STAMP Pass and Visit Museums!

You won’t be a teen forever. Go out and have new enlightening experiences. When you grow old you don’t want to regret not taking advantage of your STAMP pass.
