Hey guys! So I’m not sure how many of you know about the awesome Jason Rhoades, Four Roads exhibit that has been open to the public at the Institute of Contemporary Art, but it is just amazing! There are huge mountains of different little objects, unique machines, lights, and more that everyone would definitely enjoy! The pieces in this exhibition will have the viewer impaled with sound, movement, and simply his ambition.
There are four different installations, or four “roads.” Each of these installations lets you get a glimpse of Rhoades’s humor, personal biography, and opinion on American culture. I was amazed by the over-the-top handcrafted objects and forms that were made out of an abundance of even smaller pieces! You can totally sense all of the creativity and thought that was put into these pieces once you walk into each of these rooms with the installations just surrounding you. They end up wrapping and securing you with intricate moving objects and interactive pieces that will just amaze you. There are just so many excellent pieces in this exhibit that it makes it so hard to choose which is my favorite!
Make sure you try to make it down to ICA with your STAMP pass and check out this cool exhibit while it’s still fresh! It will be open until December 29th. There is also an upcoming Teen Day at ICA on November 17th, so stay in tuned for more updates on that event as it approaches!
