Participate in a three-week internship at Penn Museum!
The Penn Museum Teen Summer Internship is an opportunity open to current high school students who are passionate about museums, education, archaeology, anthropology, and related fields. We strive to provide our teen interns with rich opportunities to develop career skill sets, offering practical professional experiences and interactions with the Museum’s offices, classrooms, and galleries.
During the three-week internship, time will be split between working with your supervisor on their summer projects, engaging with the public, and learning more about the Penn Museum’s departments and initiatives.
In addition to working with their supervisor, interns will spend time in the galleries both engaging our visitors and collecting their feedback. Finally, our teen interns will also attend special presentations by Museum staff/faculty that offer windows into the Penn Museum’s collections, programs, and methodologies alongside our undergraduate and graduate student interns.
The internship program will run Monday through Friday 9:00-3:00 in two cohort groups: one runs from July 10-28 and another from July 31 – August 18. Applications are available from now until March 15th.
