Martin Luther King, Jr., Day of Service at Philadelphia Museum of Art

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is celebrating the 19th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service on January 20th, 2014!

For over 6 years the Philadelphia Museum of Art has partnered with Global Citizen and served as a workshop site during the nation’s largest Martin Luther King Day of Service event. Throughout the day, the Museum’s annual Art and Service workshop will offer activities for all ages. Create greeting cards that will be distributed with home-delivered meals provided by the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA). Help fill in the “Big Book of Dreams” and let others know how you’re celebrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A special performance by The Camden Sophisticated Sisters Drill Team will have you stomping and clapping along. It’s a unique and exciting way for even the youngest Philadelphian to give back to their community. Museum admission will be pay-what-you-wish in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Art and Service Workshop: 10:00am-3:00pm
Performance by the Camden Sophisticated Sisters and The Distinguished Brothers of CSS: 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.
