Hello all. It’s sad to say this, but this is the last week of the Bloomberg internship. I applied to Workready on a whim -thinking what’s the worst thing that could happen? I don’t get a job – instead I was placed into this amazing opportunity. I loved working at a place that encouraged youth to speak up, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, as well as going on weekly trips and creating new friendships along the way. This whole internship was so much more than I expected it to be. These past five eventful weeks I will remember for a lifetime. I can only hope that I will be able to be a part of this program next year.
This week at work, I’m finishing up my infograph and other small things before I prepare to leave. I’m looking forward to the last trip that is coming up, the Mural Arts tour. It should be jaw-dropping if all the murals are all as fabulous as the ones that I have seen around the city. As for Friday, that should also be interesting. It will be fun to see everyone else’s infographic. I’m looking forward to what is to come, and until it happens that is all I can do.
I just wanted to once again say thank you to everyone that made this internship possible for me to enjoy – Isiah and Kelsey- I didn’t forget about you two. Also, thank you to the wonderful staff at Philadelphia Young Playwrights for welcoming me into your work environment for the past six weeks. And finally thank you to Rashanda Freeman for guiding us all around the City of Brotherly Love. Thank you all for the memories that will last a lifetime.
