When you think about the circus I’m pretty sure science isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. You’d be amazed by how much of the circus is caused by biology and physics. Don’t believe me? Then head over to the Franklin Institute’s newest exhibit: “Circus! Science Under the Big Top.” Journey into the Big Top to learn the scientific secrets of your favorite circus performers. Ever wonder how contortionists are so flexible? Or how sword swallowers manage to cheat death? Prepare for all of your questions to be answered. Next walk over to the concession stand for a blind scent test. Think you can taste your favorite treats based on their smells? If your looking for adventure head over to the interactive station where you can walk the tightrope and do acrobatics. To top it off enjoy the rest of your day discovering the many other exhibits that the Franklin has to offer.
This exhibit will be open until September 1.
